Shipping policy

We want you to know exactly what to expect before your order ships. This policy covers where we deliver, how long it takes, what shipping costs, and what happens if something goes wrong. If you have a question not answered here, email support@tajrah.com and we will get back to you within 1 to 2 business days.


Where we ship

We currently ship to addresses within the contiguous United States, which includes the 48 connected states.

We do not ship to the following at this time:

  • Alaska and Hawaii — shipping to non-contiguous US states involves air freight or ocean freight, which significantly increases cost and transit time beyond what we can reliably manage as a small retailer. We are working on expanding our delivery coverage and will update this page when that changes.
  • Puerto Rico and US territories — customs clearance and carrier availability for US territories add complexity we are not currently set up to handle reliably.
  • APO, FPO, and DPO military addresses — military mail routes have specific requirements that our current fulfillment setup does not support.
  • International destinations outside the United States — we do not offer international shipping at this time. International orders involve customs duties, import taxes, and carrier requirements that vary significantly by country. We are a small US-based operation and we want to do this right before we expand.

If your address falls into one of the categories above, your order may be canceled. We will contact you by email before taking any action.


Shipping costs

Standard shipping is free on all orders shipped within the contiguous United States. There is no minimum order amount required.

  • Free standard shipping — all orders, no minimum
  • Shipping cost is $0.00 and is confirmed at checkout before payment
  • No handling fees or surcharges are added after checkout

Expedited shipping: We do not currently offer expedited or express shipping options. Our products include automatic feeders and water fountains — items with meaningful weight and dimensions that require reliable ground carrier handling. Offering express shipping well requires fulfillment infrastructure we are still building. We are focused on doing standard shipping reliably first. If and when we add expedited options, this page will be updated.


Shipping carrier

Most orders are fulfilled and shipped via USPS. Carrier selection is based on your delivery address and order details. We do not currently offer carrier selection at checkout.

Automatic feeders typically weigh between 2 and 5 pounds packaged, depending on the model. USPS ground and priority services are well-suited to this size and weight range and are widely available across the contiguous US, which is why we use them as our primary carrier.


Order processing time

Orders are prepared after payment is confirmed. Processing happens on business days only — Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays.

Order cut-off time: 2:00 PM MST (Mountain Standard Time, UTC-7), Monday through Friday.

  • Orders placed before 2:00 PM MST on a business day are typically processed the same day.
  • Orders placed after 2:00 PM MST, or on weekends and US federal holidays, begin processing on the next business day.

Our fulfillment is based in the Mountain Time zone. If you are ordering from the East Coast, this means a 2:00 PM MST cut-off corresponds to 4:00 PM EST.

If an item is temporarily out of stock or your order is affected by a delay, we will notify you by email as soon as possible.


Estimated delivery timeline

Delivery has two stages: processing and transit. Both are measured in business days.

  • Processing time: 1 to 3 business days from the date your order is placed
  • Transit time: 7 to 9 business days once your order has shipped
  • Total estimated delivery: 8 to 12 business days from the date of your order

Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include weekends or US federal holidays.

These are estimates. Actual delivery time may vary due to carrier delays, weather conditions, peak shipping periods, or other factors outside our control. If your order has not arrived within 14 business days of placing it, contact us and we will investigate.

Please note:

  • Expedited or express shipping is not available
  • Local pickup is not available
  • Saturday and Sunday do not count as business days for processing or transit estimates

Customs and import duties

All orders ship from within the United States to US addresses. No customs fees or import duties apply to domestic US orders.

We do not ship internationally at this time, so cross-border customs charges are not applicable.


Order tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email. Use it to monitor delivery status directly on the carrier's website.

If you have not received a tracking email within 3 business days of placing your order:

  • Check your spam or junk folder first
  • Confirm the email address on your order is correct
  • If you still cannot find it, email us at support@tajrah.com with your order number

Undeliverable packages

USPS typically attempts delivery up to three times before returning a package. If your package is returned to us as undeliverable, this is usually caused by:

  • An incorrect or incomplete shipping address entered at checkout
  • No one available to receive the package and no safe location to leave it
  • Delivery refused at the address

If your package is returned, contact us to arrange reshipment. Additional shipping fees may apply for re-delivery. To avoid this, please double-check your shipping address carefully before completing checkout.


Order cancellations

We process orders quickly to minimize delays. If you need to cancel, contact us as early as possible.

  • Cancellations are possible before 2:00 PM MST on the same business day the order is placed
  • Include your order number in your cancellation request
  • Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be canceled — but you can request a return after delivery within our 30-day return window
